Contributions to Local Communities and Society

Having landed in Japan on October 12, Typhoon Hagibis (Typhoon 19) caused heavy damage in the Kanto region. In Tochigi City, where Isuzu's Tochigi Plant is located, there was particularly severe damage, with 3,670 buildings flooded above floor level and 3,913 flooded below floor level. In response, Isuzu dispatched 14 employees as volunteers from the plant to remove disaster waste from the Ohira district of Tochigi City for three days from October 16.

Furthermore, Isuzu also made a donation of 10 million yen to Tochigi City on October 30 in order to support the immediate recovery of those affected by the disaster.
Following this series of support activities, Tochigi Mayor Hideko Okawa expressed her appreciation for both the donation and the wide range of disaster volunteer activities.
