Driving change every day through collaboration with other companies
Tell us about your job?

I work concurrently as a seconded employee at Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies (CJPT) Corporation. I lead a group in charge of verifying fuel cell trucks and creating proposals for the electrification of transport in society, in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation.
CJPT is a joint venture company established by several Japanese automotive manufacturers including Isuzu, Toyota and Hino Motors. We are promoting innovation in the mobility industry by collaborating with other companies.

When do you feel a sense of job satisfaction? What do you find interesting about your job?

At CJPT, I get to learn more about other companies' approaches that are different from those at Isuzu, even as we work toward the same goal. I find that very interesting and rewarding.

What do you value in leading your team?

I always make sure to put myself in other people's shoes when I'm leading the team. I constantly tell myself to look at things from their perspective and anticipate what they are thinking, instead of assuming things like, "this is how I would do it."

How has Isuzu changed and how are you trying to change?

Before the divisional town hall meetings were implemented, there were not many opportunities to interact with members from other departments unless you worked on a project together. I feel Isuzu has changed by recently launching these town hall meetings.

Please tell us about your "I Do Declaration."

Each and every employee is working to fulfill the ideals of ISUZU ID and changing their behavior as part of their own "I Do Declaration."

My I Do Declaration is to "read one book a month."
I want to broaden my knowledge and perspectives.

What actions will you take to be No.1 in one of the four areas outlined in ISUZU ID?

In order to be No.1 in Social Impact, I will strive to be a bridge between Isuzu and our partners, respecting the viewpoints of both parties.

"Mutual Respect" is a central theme of ISUZU ID's core value. How do you see mutual respect in the workplace?

Our department drives innovation through partnerships. There will inevitably be disagreements when working with companies with different views, and that's why 'mutual respect' is crucial.

What would you say to someone interested in joining Isuzu?

At Isuzu, we are driving change every day through collaboration. If you want to challenge yourself to achieve great things, come and join us.
