Activities in FY2019 : DeuSEL®Project Special Classes (Held at Elementary Schools and Isuzu Plaza)

Contributions to Local Communities and Society

Since 2014, Isuzu and its project partner euglena Co., Ltd. have been carrying out joint research into next-generation biodiesel under the DeuSEL® Project.
On March 31, 2020, Isuzu announced the completion of the next-generation biodiesel at Japan's first demonstration plant for biodiesel production, built by euglena Co., Ltd., and the start of usage of this fuel in Isuzu's Fujisawa Plant shuttle bus.

Since 2015, Isuzu has been visiting elementary schools to broaden the knowledge of children and teach them about the workings of DeuSEL® and the future-oriented activities of this ongoing research.
In FY2019, we held four classes at nearby elementary schools, as well as three classes for elementary school students and their parents at the Isuzu Plaza.
