Road-Rail Vehicle
A road-rail vehicle is a servicing vehicle which can operate both on rail tracks and on conventional roads.
It is fitted with steel wheels for running on rails behind the rubber tires.
It runs as an ordinary truck on road with its tires.
At night, while the trains are not in operation, it gets onto the rail from such places as railway crossings for maintenance works of overhead lines.
It is rare to see the vehicle running during the daytime, but working at night while everyone is at sleep.
