117 Coupe
At the 15th Tokyo Motor Show in 1968, the 117 Coupe, a high-speed touring car based on the Florian with a fastback-style body, was unveiled, and was launched simultaneously all over Japan in December of the same year.
The design was by Giorgetto Giugiaro, a designer of the Italian company Carrozzeria Ghia, and in order to preserve its beautiful design, the early years of production were done by hand.
It was produced as a custom-order car equipped with the engine was a DOHC (double overhead camshaft) 1,600cc engine with 120 horsepower and the maximum speed of 200 km/h.
The 117 Coupe, which dominated the market with its elegant style, was registered in the 2014 Japan Automotive Hall of Fame Historical Vehicles as an as an excellent and famous car in 2014.
