Overview of Mimamori-kun

Fuel efficiency data Figure 5. Frequency of acceleration rate change in Mimamori-kun report
The frequency of acceleration rate change is shown in Figure 5 as an example of data used to educate drivers on how to improve fuel economy.
The Mimamori-kun system monitors changes in the number of times the throttle opens and closes, and records it in the appropriate memory section when it fits acceleration change conditions. Based on this data, it then prepares a report like the one shown on the right.

Driving safety data Figure 6. Deceleration rate distribution
Deceleration rate distribution is an example of data used to provide driving safety instruction (Figure 6). The system records the deceleration rate between applying the brake and letting go again for combination of main and auxiliary brakes, and main brakes only. This data is used to prepare a report like the one shown on the right.

Data retrieval methods
There are two ways of retrieving data compiled by the system, either downloading onto a PC using exclusive software, or downloading onto a compact flash using the Mimamori-kun Controller. The former method requires sales or service personnel from the Isuzu dealer to visit the customer to download data onto the PC, whereas with the latter method the customer can download the data onto the compact flash by pressing the download button on the controller. Subsequently sales or service personnel will visit the customer to collect the compact flash to compile the data.
