Mimamori-kun is a vehicle diagnostic system that compiles vehicle data to produce Mimamori-kun Reports, the specific driving instructions for better fuel economy and driving safety. With the vehicle data received from the engine control unit and other systems, we process it to illustrate how the vehicle is being used. The compiled data is used to analyze the driver-specific driving behavior and patterns, and based on the data, we produce reports specific to the driver, providing instructions on how to improve fuel economy and drive more safely. (*1)
The vehicle data of Mimamori-kun control unit can be input at the end of plant assembly line, and thus the system was adapted for use in all types of vehicle by changing the vehicle data such as the engine model, transmission model, final ratio and tire radius. (*2)
Mimamori-kun can also calculate fuel consumption and scale system data, send data to the multidisplay, record engine control data before and after an engine fault is detected, and communicate with other in-vehicle devices.
Some of the data compiled by the Mimamori-kun system are: total distance traveled, total fuel consumption, usage time of each gear setting, idling time, number of times the throttle opens and closes, maximum speed, speed distribution, number of times engine brake is used, number of times exhaust brake/retarder is used, deceleration frequency, and number of engine revolutions when shifting up and down.
