Similar to the tractor system, this easy drive system has an electronically controlled clutch transmission and integrated engine control unit. No clutch pedal operation is required at all when starting and gear-shifting; all clutch operations are automated. With the shift lever in the Drive position, the gear changes automatically in the optimal gear stage when changing speed.
In adapting the 12-speed automatic transmission for straight trucks, we developed and added the following control systems:
Additionally, we optimized clutch engine control data when starting and changing speeds, as well as transmission counter shaft brake control (synchronized control) so the system could be applied to single trucks with straight clutch engines. The system structure is illustrated in Figure 2.
