In Conclusion

As is well known, the image in Japan that diesel engines are used for commercial vehicles remains strong, and their degree of recognition as suitable engines for passenger cars is low. However, in Europe diesel engines are recognized as high-grade precision machines and considered as technologically advanced.
In addition to this fundamental difference between Japanese and European views of diesel, rises in fuel prices and CO2 emission regulations in Europe in recent years have captured public attention. Under this situation, the performance of diesel engines has risen to match or even surpass that of gasoline engines thanks to the development of electronic control systems. So in short, there is no longer any reason not to select diesel engines.
Considering this situation, it is a matter of course that the number of passenger cars in Europe has been increasing.
Under this trend, our goal is to provide Isuzu's diesel engines steadily and to establish a firm brand in Europe. Let's employ the slogan "Mit ISUZU Diesel Motor", which means in German "Isuzu Diesel Engine-Equipped", and turn Isuzu's diesel engines into a recognized brand in the same way as VW's TDI.

Note: Using data and numerical value might be different from the latest ones.
