The Isuzu D-MAX has been designated as the pickup of the year in two Israeli contests.
Readers of "Yediot Aharonot", Israel's leading daily newspaper, chose the Isuzu D-MAX as the pickup truck of the year on December 20, 2004. The poll was part of "The State's Vehicle" contest held by a major insurance company. Thousands of readers took part in the annual event to choose the top vehicles in seven categories. The Isuzu pickup topped nine other models in its category.
Also, the December issue of "Auto Magazine" picked the D-MAX as 2005's best vehicle in the pickup category (photo). The annual selection includes the opinions of both auto journalists and readers. Although the writers picked another make, Isuzu was the overwhelming favorite among the readers, of whom nearly 60 percent chose the D-MAX, pushing it to the top ranking. The Isuzu D-MAX was the only vehicle selected by more than half of the readers in any category.
