The new Isuzu MU-7 sport-utility wagon was released in Thailand in November.
The MU-7 is just what Thai users are looking for in a sport-utility wagon. The model combines the convenience of multipurpose function, rugged sport-utility performance, a spacious seven-seat interior and passenger comfort and luxury, all of which is smartly packaged inside a sophisticated exterior.
The newly developed 4JJ1 common-rail diesel engine offers maximum output of 146 hp. Its world-leading fuel-injection pressure rating of 180 Mpa assures powerful performance coupled with increased fuel efficiency, thanks to complete combustion. The engine also powers the new Isuzu D-MAX pickup released in Thailand in October.
The Isuzu MU-7, distributed by Tri Petch Isuzu Sales Co. Ltd.(TIS), is available in four versions and choices of two- or four-wheel drive equipped with either a manual or an automatic transmission. TIS has set a sales target of 12,000 units per year.
