Isuzu Provides CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Bus for
"G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit" In response to the request from Japanese Government to supply a vehicle of excellent environmental performance for "G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit", Isuzu Motors Limited (President and Representative Director: Susumu Hosoi, hereinafter called ISUZU) provides its heavy-duty route bus, ERGA that runs on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) as a shuttle bus for transporting people of governments and media.
Outline of Vehicle Furnished by ISUZU for "G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit" Powered by a newly developed 6HF1-TC engine, the ERGA CNG-MPI route bus meets new CNG vehicle emission technology guidelines (new long-term standards) - the first bus to comply with this standards in Japan. ISUZU pursued clean emissions through fine-tuned injection control over fuel quantity and timing by fitting "MPI (multipoint injection)" system to the 6HF1-TC engine as it does to CNG trucks. As a result, the ERGA CNG-MPI is certified by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as a low emission vehicle since it reduces Nox by 10% from the 2005 regulation level. All models of the ERGA CNG-MPI route bus are fitted with idling Stop & Start system as standard feature for further CO Amid growing calls for environmental measures to curb Global Warming and other pressing issues, CNG vehicles are attracting attention as low emission vehicles that emit almost no PM and very low CO
