The Shonan Beach Gomizero (Zero Trash) Cleanup Campaign was hosted by Fujisawa City and the Kanagawa Coastal Environmental Foundation on May 29, and more than 260 employees and family members of Isuzu Fujisawa Plant and other related companies took part.

This Gomizero (Zero Trash) Campaign has been implemented since 2000 in order to turn the entire beach area at Shonan and Enoshima into a recreation area, and participants include residents’ associations, citizen groups, companies and others in Fujisawa City. This year, around 5,600 people from 99 organizations cleaned up at Katase Kaigan and Kugenuma Kaigan by collecting 1.5 tons of waste.
